John’s Sweeper Service (“we”, “us”) runs johnssweeperservice.com. This policy explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and who else handles it. It covers the website only. It does not cover purchases or repairs handled in our store.
Information you give us
When you send us a message through the contact form on our site, it collects your name, phone number, email address and message. We use them to answer your question, quote a repair or arrange service.
We only use this information to deal with your request and to keep a record of our conversations with customers. We do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Information collected automatically
- Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, set up through Google Site Kit, to see which pages people visit and how they found us. It records things like the pages you view, the site that referred you, your approximate location, and your device and browser. It uses cookies to do this. Google’s privacy policy explains how Google handles this data, and you can block it with Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Spam protection. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block automated spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you use the page and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Security and server logs. Our web host and security software record IP addresses and basic request details so they can protect the site from attacks and fix problems.
Content from other companies
- Google Maps. The map in our footer and on our location page is loaded from Google. When it loads, Google can collect information about your visit under its own privacy policy.
- Google reviews. The customer reviews shown on our home page and reviews page are displayed with a widget from Trustindex, which loads from Trustindex’s servers and receives your IP address and browser details.
Who handles your information
Some companies handle information on our behalf so the website can work and so we can reply to you:
- our website host (SiteGround), which stores the site and the messages sent through it
- an email delivery service that sends form messages to our inbox
- Zapier, which passes form messages to the systems we use to follow up
- Google, for analytics, spam protection and maps
- Trustindex, for the reviews widget
- the company that builds and maintains our website, which can see messages stored on the site
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our customers, our business or the public.

Google reCAPTCHA, Google Maps and the reviews widget may set their own cookies under those companies’ policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, although the map and reviews may not load.
Do Not Track. Our website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser.
How long we keep it
We keep form messages for as long as we need them to deal with your request and keep a record of our customer conversations, then delete them. Analytics data is kept by Google for the period set in our Google Analytics account.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call us, send a message through our contact form, or write to us at the address below, and we will respond to any reasonable request.
Children
This website is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as Google and the brands we sell and service. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so check their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
